Though The Prosaic Writers

Though the prosaic writers are known to succeed
The poet without music a poor one indeed
Without rhyme no music or memorable song
The rhyme in the words to the music belong
The long dead rhyming poets and poetesses their poems live today
In their Nature poems one can scent Summer hay
And in leafy groves hear the wild-born birds sing
Their words of great beauty joy to readers bring
Each to his or her own a truism I recall
Though a poem without rhyme does not interest me at all
And though with what I say here many may not agree
I look at the World as the World seems to me
And we all look at things in a different way
I suppose that does seem quite a fair thing to say.
