Like All Other Life Forms

Like all other life forms the great and the small
All things that walk, swim and fly and crawl
And like the great tree of the woodland that eveentually does fall
For us humans a last night and day for us all
The human masses in their worshipping of ordinary people get carried away
And  those we admire of us  more does say
Than any words can do that's how  it seems to be
At least anyway that's how it seems to me
We admire the one who owns the big expensive car
Our ordinary heroes show how ordinary we are
In his lifetime Vincent Van Gogh the great artist few seemed to admire
And nowadays many young artists he does inspire
Vincent an extraordinary human being who died as a pauper created many a millionaire
That's life as some do say but life can be unfair.
