We Know All Too Well

We know all too well life is so unfair
On the people who know of their black moods of despair
Condemned to be on medication for as long as they live
To some people life heavy crosses does give
Where darkness is light one cannot hope to find
I do pity those with darkness of the mind
Sad to think in their lives they may never come to know
Of the happiness in the warmth of the inner glow
And sad to think their kind are no longer rare
Whose mental crosses in life for them are heavy to bear
With their black moods they do have to live every day
That life for them is so hard only seems fair to say
And at a young age some of them even decide
For to end their lives in the act of suicide.
