Of singing their praises i never do tire
The humble unassuming are people i admire
Nice people to know of and a pleasure to meet
One of their greatest gifts is to be free of conceit
Egotistical people i find hard to bear
And it is sad to think their kind are not rare
Such people who never help to make my day
I would rather not meet them in truth i can say,
Those who can win with humility and lose with grace
And meet adversity with a smiling face
Are people that i do feel happy to know
One can say of them they have the inner glow
The humble unassuming are a joy for to meet
It is one of their gifts to be free of conceit.
