Tomorrow Will Dawn

It is only in fancy i hear a robin sing
On a leafy silver birch tree in the prime of the Spring
When the hawthorns are cloaked in their white blooms of the May
Though the past may be gone the good memories do stay
Of the old fields lush and green after recent Spring showers
Looking quite resplendent in Nature's own flowers
And when i visualize the shrill song of the dipper i often do hear
He sings in a river to my thoughts ever near
Though my journey in life has taken me far south
Of the fields of the badger and the waterways of the brown trout
I hear the birds sing in a Spring sunrise
As i walk in the old fields when i visualize
Tomorrow will dawn and today almost gone
And of the what was only the memories live on.
