Out There In The Quiet Countryside

Perhaps i am anti social and this is nothing of for to feel proud
I yearn for a quiet place far from the noisy crowd
Out there in the quiet countryside far from the busy street
Content in my own company where the creek and river meet

Where the shrike thrush is whistling in feathers of brown and gray
And the kangaroos are out of cover grazing in the gloaming of the day
From the industrial noise and pollution in the big town one cannot hide
But there is always peace and beauty where Nature does reside

Far from where humans are living one does find stress release
Out there in the quiet countryside where Nature is at peace
The loudest sound in Nature it is a natural sound
There is no peace and beauty where humans in numbers do abound

Out there in the quiet countryside far from the noisy town
The night creatures out of hiding in the twilight after sundown
Factory pollution and noisy machinery the legacy of human greed
A nice home in the copuntryside would suit me fine indeed.
