In Port Fairy Town A Memorial Stone

Those who regret past wrongs they are not alone
In Port Fairy Town on Bank Street a memorial stone
In honor of the Indigenous people who were massacared In the Moyne coastal countryside
There are many things in human history without a source for pride
Men, women and children who died in the foulest way
Yet sadly such things are still happening in the Human World of today
Many Indigenous people of the coastal south west at the hands of the pioneers died
The shame of the past sins in unmarked graves the earth and sand does hide
The wrongs of the past many may wish to deny
That the truth can be confronting is the reason why
That bad things done by their race they would rather not talk about
To the Indigenous people In this Land of the south
In Port Fairy for the murdered Indigenous people a memorial stone
Those who regret the wrongs of the past they are not alone.
