A Final Day

For every songbird there is a final Spring
A last chance to breed and a last song to sing
Us humans too will have our last night and day
And life will go on and time will tick away
From the tiny earth worm to the human billionaire
The Reaper of lives any life does not spare
Like all forms of life humans too born to die
Is the theory of immortality based on a lie?
Many believe in a life after bodily death
That only the flesh is left to decay when we draw our last breath
That every good soul has wings for to fly
To the Paradise of God somewhere beyond the sky
On life and death on what you believe in is up to you anyway
But for all living things there is a final day.
