On Seeing Welcome Swallows

Above the sunlit brown paddocks in the blue and gray sky
The dark welcome swallows in pursuit of flying insects fly
For hours on end flying at such a great speed
For aerial predators to catch far too quick and nimble a bird breed
To see them twist and turn whilst in full flight
For to say the least quite an amazing sight
They fly without resting for most of the day
Swallows are born to fly of them one can say
They travel by air much further in their short life span
Than the World's most travelled woman or man
Not restricted by borders they do not have a territory to defend
For hours they fly every day and will do so until their life end
Above the brown paddocks in the blue and gray sky
With the sun on their dark wings the welcome swallows fly.
