Far From The Noisy Streets

Far from the noisy streets of the big town
The creek from the mountains does wind it's way down
Through flat shrubby paddocks on it's sea going way
It babbles all night and it babbles all day
Out there in the World that to Nature belong
Home to emu and wombat and pied currawong
And roo and wallaby and pale eyed crow
The creek from the mountains it ever does flow
Ten k's from the big river or even more
That ever does flow to the saltwater shore
Where boobook in leafy cover from daylight does hide
In a small cottage there i would love to reside
And there amongst Nature and her wildborn kind
I would enjoy contentment and peace of mind.
