I saw a man over four meters tall
The tallest that i ever can recall
He looked so dark though the sky was semi bright
For it was indeed a starry moonlit night
As he towered above me i came to realize
That his flattened face did not have mouth, ears, nose or eyes
He looked like one who came from outer space
A colussus of a gigantic alien race
When i spoke to him he made no reply
Methought him to be rather thoughtless or quite shy
When i moved to the right or left he imitated me
I only tell you of what my eyes did see
When the moon moved behind a dark cloud him i could not see at all
My shadow on the house gable wall.
