You may think you are one who does have it tough
But compared to many life for you seems easy enough
Millions of homeless people are sleeping rough tonight
Compared to them your future is looking quite bright
A nice home to live in and a job that pays well
Yet of your imagined hard life you only can tell
And so many people far worse off than you are
From where you live ten minutes by motor car
Your imaginary hard life is all in your mind
To self pity you are all too readily inclined
You are one who suffer of mind poverty
Our thoughts it is said become our reality
In your mind you are one who think you have it tough
But you have never been homeless and hungry or have had to sleep rough.
