Like all other life forms we are born to die
This applies to the earth worm as well as you and i
On how long we live we do not have a say
The Reaper of lives claims more lives every day
The years go by quickly fleeting our lives prime
Eventually we all become victims of time
The one who claims the lives of the president, the monarch and the billionaire
The Reaper of lives any life does not spare
Whatever you achieve in life death is only your due
That it is the great equalizer happens to be true
We are only mere mortals why otherwise pretend
The life journey we are on for us all comes to an end
In some place or time and on some night or day
The Reaper of lives will come reaping your way.
