Not religious in any way
To any god he does not pray
And friends he does not seek to win
The fellow who does not fit in
Not a member of any community club
Or never seen in the local pub
One who is not tribal in any way
A fringe dweller of him one might say
Politics and sports and talking of football
Does not interest him in any way at all
The praises of heroines and heroes he never sing
He is one who does his own thing
By the judgmental condemned to fail
Yet he has never been in jail
Or wronged any one in any way
For being different there is some price to pay
In his thirties without a wife
Or any children in his life
One who enjoys the casual sexual fling
The fellow who does his own thing.
