To her calf in a field by white river Finnow
In the quiet of a June evening just after sundown
In the fading twilight just west of Millstreet Town
June in Duhallow in a nice time time of year
The flute of the curlews a joy for to hear
The migratory long curved billed waders home from far away
To raise their young in the bog where they themselves first saw light of day
With the sun on their dark wings chirping as they fly
The swallows are chasing flying insects in the sky
To their home countryside they return to breed every Spring
The wonders of Nature quite an amazing thing
In June in Duhallow everywhere lush and green
And Nature at her very finest is seen.
