Capybara
Capybara the largest rodents in the World of today
Some of them weigh up to 90 kilos this is heavy for a rodent one can say
Native to South America in or near water they reside
They can even dive deep from predators to hide
Bark, grasses, fruit and acquatic plants they are known to eat
And as true vegetarians they do not eat meat
Closely related to cavies and guinea pigs though of far bigger size
And due to hunting their numbers not on the increase which is not a surprise
Outside of South America they have been introduced to Florida in the U S of A
Where they seem well established for the long stay
On land when pursued they do run rather fast
And most large predators in speed are known to outlast
To be the World's largest rodents is their claim to fame
Native to south America Capybara by name.
