In Port Fairy a beautiful mid Winter's day The sun shining bright in a sky blue and grey A weather temperature high for the day of sixteen degrees And the tree leaves gently stirring in the slight coastal breeze Even in the depths of Winter natural beauty to be seen After the recent rain the town gardens looking green On such a beautiful day for the time of year The warbling songs of the magpies so pleasant to hear Though the morning was cold from the frost overnight The day nice and pleasant in the July sunlight The dainty black and white birds one does often hear and see The magpie larks they are calling out pee wee On a nice day in Port Fairy in mid July The sun shining bright in a blue and grey sky.
