Wildborn species in the World getting rarer by the day
Australian children of the future sadly may never see
A koala eating leaves or dozing on high branch of a manna gum tree
The thought of it is even a sad thing
That in time we may not be that distant from the first silent Spring
Of birds there are less of them to see and hear
Many species of them becoming rarer by the year
Global Warming caused by carbon emissions and natural habitat destruction due to human greed
For extinction of wildlife does sow the seed
The Earth we live on does need more of the envioronmentally aware
But sadly those who abuse her are not even rare
For humanity it is not a source for pride
That wildlife numbers are on the decline Worldwide
Sadly too few for the one who does feed us does care
Mother Earth we depend on to live a sad thing of to be aware.
