They carry joy with them when walking the street
Nice people are always a pleasure to meet
A smile and hello does not cost one a thing
And joy to one's day with it you well may bring
Self important and conceited people are not nice to know
One can say of them they lack the inner glow
The self assuming and down to earth one easier to prefer
Than the arrogant and egotistical snobbish him or her
Self promotion nowadays seems to be the in thing
And far too many only too willing their own praises for to sing
Nice people are down to earth in their own way
They always do greet you with a smile and good day
Wherever they are joy is to be found
They carry it with them and spread it around.
