You May Have Been Found To Be Wanting

You may have been found to be wanting when put to the test

But it can be said of you that you  did try your best

This time there was one who was better than you

But trying your best is the best you can do

To the winner goes most of the glory and fame

And the loser does become the forgotten name

And though losing is a thing you never would choose

For the winner to win you had to lose

To try your best and lose is never a disgrace

But at least you accepted your defeat with a smile on your face

And congratulated the winner with a handshake and well done

And was willing to admit that the better one won

You were not the winner it was not your day

But that big win for you in time may not be far away.
