Homesick for Ireland his Homeland far away
Though he is only here for a brief stay
Just for a six months working holiday
Presently milking cows for a farmer in Tarwin near Venus Bay
Homesick for his home in Bundoran in County Donegal
In his early twenties handsome, dark haired and tall
Not yet at but close to his physical prime
Every day spent in this Country to him seems quite a long time
Life in this southern Land does not suit him at all
He miss the Hometown pubs and the games of Gaelic Football
Feeling out of place among strangers and in ways rather shy
Though for to fit into the local community he does seem to try
But he is counting the days until the late Fall
When he will return to old Donegal.
