For The Wealthy Only

They only legislate for the financially and materially  well off why otherwise pretend
Any government is never a poor person's friend
For the working poor and those on welfare
Those elected to govern never worry or care
The inequality between people does not make for any sense
The wealthy getting wealthier at poor people's expense
With the ever widening gap in the social divide
Are we heading for a poor people revolution Worldwide
The sharp increase on those living in poverty could lead to widespread unrest
To promote inequality between people governments seemingly doing their best
The majority of the wealth of the World in the coffers of the few
And this is not anything that is in any way new
That governments legislate for the wealthy only seems true for to say
In a World where millions of people are growing poorer by the day.
