You Can Only Be

You can only be the best that you can be
This applies to everyone and everyone includes me
If we want a better human World to live in
With our own selves we have got to begin
In your words it is not very hard for to put others down
Though the judgmental never become the popular people of the town
Of more of the kind and compassionate the Human World is in need
Since of making a better World to live in they plant the good seed
If everyone had kindness and compassion and empathy
There would not be war in the World or crime or poverty
But sadly the selfless do seem far too few
And this is not saying anything that is new
I have come to realize to make a better World to live in
That with my own self i have got to begin.
