For driving his car too fast with his life he did pay
His car failed to take a bend at speed and crashed against a tree
When he had many years of life in him he was only twenty three
For their only offspring his mum and dad in tears
The grief they feel at their loss will be with them for years
His young partner Rebecca grieves for the lost love of her life
To him she was bethroted she was to be his wife
Young Bill the fearless fellow danger signs did not heed
He was a young thrill seeker who loved to drive at speed
Tears were shed at his funeral a week ago today
For not respecting danger with his life he did pay
One who did not fear danger luck for him did not last
Death came upon him suddenly because he drove too fast.
