The balding grizzly old fellow from Moonabell
He seemed stuck for an answer when i bid him good day
He passed me in silence he had nothing to say
He has become strange and reclusive and on his own likes to stay
Since Jane the woman he loved from life has passed away
Their only child Bree as a young teenager died
Of cancer at a young age of life she was denied
Of life's sadder stories he would have to tell
Old Bill the octogenarian from Moonabell
The hair around his bald crown is silver gray
He will be eighty six on the thirtieth of May
His old rusty ute is showing the wear of time
And he too is many years past his physical prime.
