Our Greatest Friend

Due to the removal of trees by humans in their range
And human induced Global Warming that gives rise to Climate Change
Many species of wildlife are becoming rare
And that extinction is forever we are all too aware
For the Earth that supports us many of us does not seem to care
And with other life forms habitat we are not willing to share
But what we do to our Earth Mother to our own selves we do
If other life forms become extinct humans can too
For our very existence on our Earth Mother we depend
But we does not treat her as our greatest friend
We pollute the air, waterways, oceans and land
Why we abuse the one who feeds us seems hard to understand
On our very existence on Mother Earth we depend
Yet we does not treat her as our greatest friend.
