But the birds they are singing in Mushera today
Above the high fields of the foothills the barn swallows fly
On pursuit of flying insects across the gray sky
The cooing of the ring doves in the wood by Mushera Hill
And the black glossy male blackbird with the orange colored bill
In Mushera a familiar voice of the Spring
Such beauty to the high country April does bring
Young grass lush and green from the mild April showers
And Nature in Spring resplendent in her flowers
In the distance the voice of the cuckoo one does hear
April in Mushera is such a nice time of year
Yellow buttercups in bloom by the babbling rill
And young lambs romp and play in the fields by the hill.
