But we learn as we live he now realize this is so
Once a very wealthy person of a town
Where few wish to know of the financially down
All things in life do not always go to plan
His wife she forsook him and with her took their young daughter to live with a wealthy man
His business got into financial difficulties and his bank finances on him did foreclose
That life can have it's disappointments one has to suppose
Those he thought were his friends are not his friends today
That true friends are few he has found out the hard way
A decade ago his friends in numbers did grow
But what a true friend is nowadays he does know
Our lessons in life they are not of the few
And this is not saying anything that is new.
