Skin Deep

That beauty is in the eyes of the beholder as a truism remain
A true to human life saying that it's own self does explain
One who is not attractive to look at may have the inner glow
Physical beauty is only skin deep as many a beholder does know
True beauty only resides in the human mind
In those who are caring, generous, compassionate and kind
You may be young and attractive and think others are inferior to you
But you are not alone on thinking this way there are many others too
People like you who to them have an ugly side
Hidden in their physical beauty there is conceit and pride
People who are more flawed than many as one might say
They are not rare i meet them every day
Some beauty is only skin deep happens to be true
