An Octogenarian Migrant

Some of those he went to school with where the deceased are does lay
And some like him in the hometown did not stay
Their yearn for travel took them to elsewhere
And they will live out their lives in the big World out there

Though memories of the past never move him to tears
He has many stories of his bygone years
And of the games with his young friends he did play
In the public park of his hometown far away

A grandfather in his early eighties divorced from his wife
Nowadays she has a younger man in her life
He feels quite contented living on his own
Though of better days in life of he surely has known

For ageing in wrinkles and hair loss the price we do pay
The hair on his balding head is silver gray
But he is not affected by old person pride
Since his signs of ageing he does not try to hide

Though time on the body it's own story does tell
For one of his age physically he looks well
Whenever i meet him he always smiles and says good day
The likeable fellow from the town far away.
