The warm air full of the buzzings of flies and of bees
On a day that is warm close to thirty degrees
Without any coolness in the freshening breeze
The cattle shelter from the sun in the shade of the trees
On the radio news we hear every day
Of destroyed homes from bush fires from here not far away
Many such fires lit by pyromaniacs people with darkness of mind
It is sad to think of the destructive callousness of some of our own kind
Things are very quiet in the park by the bay
In the children's playground no children at play
Their mums do not bring them to play in the sun
Such warm weather for them cannot be too much fun
White butterflies dancing in the afternoon breeze
On a day that is warm close to thirty degrees.
