Changes keep happening and time ticks on fast
And despite great human achievements many lessons not yet learned from the past
That many human beings ignore ancestral mistakes happens to be so
And few lessons learned from the war that was supposed to end all wars a century ago
That we have not learned from the horrors and tragedies of war does seem sad to say
War and war heroes are honoured by the patriots of today
Why do we wish upon those we do not know death, injury or ill
When Moses fifth commandment states thou shalt not kill?
In war men are honoured for taking of human life
But there can be no love or peace or harmony where violence is rife
It is out of worship of long dead war heroes young war heroes are made
Old patriots create them in every street war parade
Heroes of the war that was suppoed to end all wars by young people revered to day
And this is a sad thing for to have to say.
