With dreams in his head of a great life elsewhere
He went on his adventure in the big World out there
But that was way back in nineteen sixty three
He is now not the man that he then used to be
In the big World he has travelled far and wide
Far from his first hometown in the northern countryside
Ten times a great grandfather divorced from his third wife
A man who has led an adventurous life
His travelling days over and his better days long gone
And time on his life ever ticking on
An ageing frail man grey in his receding hair
In a retirement home in his room he spends his days in a wheelchair
Far from his first hometown he may breathe his last
The one who has had an adventurous past.
