Kathy Duggan Nee Looney

In Lisheen in Sliabh Luachra as Kathy Looney she first saw light of day
And in her physical prime she married Pat Duggan from Millstreet in the U S of  A
A good mother to her children and to Pat a good wife
A devout and spiritual person she led by good example in life

A beautiful person with a beautiful smile
She was one untainted by conceit or guile
But sadly she had not been well for awhile
And she died from her first homeplace many a metric mile

In New York where she had lived for decades of years
Her friends and her family farewelled her in tears
But good people as Kathy was in death only physically go away
In the memories of those who loved them they does stay

Though none of us will hear our funeral bell
In life for us all there will be a final farewell
Kathy was quite attractive in her physical prime
Before she like all do became a victim of time

Such sad news from my sister Sheila today
Kathy Duggan nee Looney she has passed away
Though the great gift of life from her body has gone
In those who knew and loved her her spirit lives on.
