Margaret Murphy

Quite  a beautiful looking woman when in her life's prime
Though this is going back many Seasons in time
Before time that ages did become her foe
When she married the late Michael Murphy many years ago

A down to earth person in her own humble way
As Margaret McNulty she first saw light of day
To her children a good mother and to Michael Murphy a good wife
At Pound Hill in Millstreet she lived for most of her life

In her prime in Millstreet one of the fairest of all
With curly blond hair she was graceful and tall
But time is all our master as the wise one does say
In the cemetery at Millstreet's West End she is at peace today

Although she was one who was advanced in years
Her passing in Duhallow would not have gone without tears
The longest lived human life in time not a long spell
And for all of us there will be a final farewell

As nice a person as one could wish for to meet
Never more to be seen in the Town of Millstreet
And though the last breath of life from her mortal body has gone
In all who knew her good memories of her will live on.
