Vanity

Many worry of how to others they do appear
Of their own self image they do live in fear
Always concerned of what of them others might think or say
The price for their vanity in this way they do pay
Their vanity on their feelings does keep taking toll
Though what others think or say of them is beyond their control
Even into old age their extreme sense of self pride with them remain
Perhaps it is a cross in life for them to bear those who are vain
Always worrying of how they appear to others eyes
But that they are mental prisoners of the judgemental they fail to realize
It is a human flaw to be vain in truth one can say
But then all of us are flawed in some sort of a way
Human feelings are way beyond me to explain
Only know it cannot be good for the mind to be vain.
