Time has left me older i am ageing far south
Of the fields of the badger and the waterways of the brown trout
And life's journey for me may end far away
Of the place where i first looked on the lamp of day
Claraghatlea just west of the Town of Millstreet
In the green countryside where the waterways meet
And where i once was looked on as one of their own
Today there to many i would not be known
Perhaps i will never more see Clara Hill
Or hear the babble of the silver tongued rill
Flowing through Claraghatlea from high Claramore
To the big waterways to the Atlantic shore
The biological clock does keep ticking on me
And i only have memories of the what used to be.
