Why are wealthy celebrities and well known sportspeople so greatly admired
Of listening to people singing their praises i for one do grow tired
Of their sort in any way i do not feel inspired
As some would say they leave a lot for to be desired
To make heroes and heroines out of the privileged does seem strange to me
In a World where many live in extreme poverty
The admiration of celebrities has become an in thing
In a World where the praises of those who help the poor few do bother to sing
A World where many have their material gains on public display
Is a sad reflection on us only true to say
Since so many are losing out on the social divide
And the gap between the wealthy and poor does keep growing ever wide
You will not find many multi millionaires who drive expensive cars
Enjoying a few beers in working class bars.
