The day it is warm over thirty degrees
And warmth in the sunshine and warmth in the breeze
That blow from the sea above paddocks dry, bare and brown
Between Warrnambool City and Koroit Town
The warm air full of the buzzing of bush flies and bees
And cattle sheltering from the sun in the shade of the trees
Yesterday was wet and cool the weather acting strange
Perhaps these are the symptons of climate change
White butterflies make for a beautiful sight
Flitting about in the warm sunlight
A few days to breed they won't outlive the flowers
That go to decay in the cool Autumn showers
With the sun on their dark wings chirping as they fly
Welcome swallows chase flying insects across the sunny sky.
