The Fellow Without Ruth

A poor enough fellow the man without  ruth
Myself only mater his often quoted truth
He is one who is lacking in empathy
For the poor of the World he feels no sympathy
No feelings as such for those doing it tough
The homeless and hungry and those living rough
He says if he thought like them like them he would be the same
For the hard lives they live they only have themselves to blame
The man without ruth says my partner and children i only care about
And i take no interest on the plight of the financially down and out
It is not my fault if they are how they are
If they do not have a job or a home or a car
The fellow without ruth of his own needs only aware
And sad to say his sort are not even rare.
