For smiling he never will win any prize
And that he is not popular is not any surprise
That he may not have good hearing well may be so
Since he seems stuck for an answer to anyone who to him says hello
Big George has his own claim to local renown
As the surliest man on his side of the town
He does not have children or a partner or wife
In his mid twenties in the prime of his life
A giant of a man and one to be feared
With long curly black hair and fuzzy black beard
He is not the sort to go looking for fight
But anyone who has dared to challengs him after looked a sorry sight
He works hard and in the pub drinks on his own
And as a surly person he is only known.
