Traveller Jim

Everyone has a lfe story for to tell
Though few biographies published in book form for to sell
To the reading public interested only in the life stories of people of wealth and fame
Publishers only publish books on one with a famous name

The amazing life stories of many people in book form will never be told
And as strangersto fame they are left to grow old
I know of such a person his name is Traveller Jim
I have never known anyone quite as adventurous as him

I cannot say i have known of a more well travelled man
In Colac Victoria his journey in life began
In September in the Spring of nineteen fifty three
Since he began travelling in is late teens many Countries he did see

He has been all around Australia been in India, China, Indonesia and Pakistan
And travelled in Russia and for awhile lived in Japan
Travelled all over Europe been in Africa, Canada and the U S of A
Quite a well travelled fellow of him one might say

Been to the Arctic and Antarctic travelled in South America from north to south
A man who has seen so much and knows what life is about
I last met him two years ago on the Melbourne to Warrnambool train
I have not seen him since then and may never see him again.
