If you have in you this thing known as hope
With the worst things life throws at you doubtless you will cope
One can only pity those that hope from has gone
For they lose the desire to keep living on
A great gift to possess in truth one can say
Hope comes to your aid on your toughest day
They lose the will to live those that hope in is dead
And see only darkness in the days ahead
For a better future hope to does give rise
As those who have it in them come to realize
That when they felt down it helped them survive
And they feel rather grateful that hope in them is alive
Of the praises of hope feel happy to sing
Those who have it in them have a wonderful thing.
