That the social gap keeps on widening by the day
The wealthy growing wealthier at the poor's expense
The promotion of capitalism does not make for good sense
That we are all born as equals seems hard with to agree
The child born into life to parents in poverty
May never climb far on the ladder to material success
At least poor people never have any fans to impress
Sad to think that in the twenty first century
That the poor are growing poorer is how it seems to be
The poor of humanity must not have a god on their side
And there are so many of them nowadays Worldwide
Sad to think that so many people due to birth circumstance
Of any success in life does stand little chance.
