Why people take politics and politicians so seriously one must wonder why
That so many of us in our opinions are quite opinionated seems hard to deny
Though most people have their political affiliations is how it seems to be
Why some people dislike each other because of politics does seem beyond me
To understand why because of politics one does lose a friend
This does seem quite hard for to comprehend
Those of similar political views seem to get on quite okay
This is how it is and it was always this way
Most politicians are not trustworthy for to give them their due
Yet for the political parties most people vote for their children vote for too
