On this beautiful and sunny September morning how great to be healthy and alive
To go for a walk or a cycle or drive
A weather forecast high for the day of a pleasant twenty degrees
And Nature's nesting birds singing on the bushes and trees
Nature at her finest she is to be seen
After the recent rain the countryside looking green
The swallows chasing flying insects chirping as they fly
With the sun on their dark wings in the blue sky
White butterflies flitting in the gentle breeze a beautiful sight to behold
Without much time to live in a day they grow old
The contented cattle on nutritious young grass gaining weight by the day
Chewing their cuds in the morning sunshine do lay
In the mostly sunny blue sky just a few clouds of grey
In the mid morning of a beautiful day
A beautiful day to be healthy and alive
To go for a walk or a cycle or a leisurely drive.
