You may have empathy and compassion but don't get me wrong
The pain others feel to them only belong
You may have it in you with the suffering of others to empathize
And in your genuine compassion with them sympathize
But despite your best efforts you coul not understand
The pain one does feel from their broken leg or broken hand
That every individual's tolerance to pain is different is widely known
In pain and suffering suppose it is each to their own
Every individual different when it comes to dealing with pain
Some moan in agony and some never complain
Mental and physical pain are different as night is from day
And pain effects everyone in a different sort of a way
And though you may be caring and compassionate don't get me wrong
The pain others feel to them only belong.
