Why should we trust politicians when they lie to us every day
Bigger fool then you must be if you believe everything they does say
Many of them so used of lying that they have come to believe their own lies
One lie does lead to another and to another gives rise
To be a good liar and in ways deceptive in politics is a need
One who is honest and truthful in politics could not hope to succeed
In parliamentary sittings mind games with each other they do play
Between the government and opposition members many lies told every day
Most people go into politics for power, money, influence and fame
It is all about boosting the ego and making for themselves a name
If you are an honest person to you it should be obviously clear
That the thought you should not entertain of politics as your career
To a successful career politician lying seems to come naturally
Politics is not for people who believe in honesty.
