Today is what matters and life does go on
We learn as we live as the wise one does say
And at the stroke of midnight the past will be today
Our lessons in life come to us at a cost
Though no point regretting on opportunities lost
For our every error some price for to pay
We learn from our mistakes since life works in this way
What applies to everyone applies to me and you
We can only live in the now this the best we can do
Regret is a negative burden on the mind
And does not belong in the positive kind
At the stroke of midnight the past will be today
And time on our lives does keep ticking away.
