Some birds by their appearance or chirping or song
Once seen and once heard you never again does get wrong
The willy wagtails or black and white fantails are such birds and are widely known
And of them one can say they have ways of their own
They are birds who sometimes can be heard at night
Their chattering song a give away to their identity though they are out of sight
In a neat cup of bark felted with spider webs on low branch of tree
The female lay brown spotted white eggs of two sometimes three
Small black and white fantails their long black tails wagging to and fro
In defense of their territory all other birds to them a foe
Fear is a thing of they do not seem to know
I have seen them mob much bigger birds such as a magpie or a crow
Small black and white flycatchers with ways of their own
By the name of willy wagtail they are better known.
